Charlie Miller, M.A., LPCC

My name is Charlie Miller and I am the owner and a therapist for Rivers Mental Health. I graduated with my Bachelors of Arts in 2014 from Hamline University with a major in Psychology. In 2019, I graduated with my Masters of Arts degree from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota with a focus on Counseling and Psychological Services. I am also licensed in Minnesota as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Aside from my passion for my work, I enjoy spending time with family, humor, being outdoors, movies, music, sports, and watching Vikings football (depending on the game).

My primary specializations are in trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, male-related issues, and family connection. The integrated therapeutic approach I use pulls from multiple theoretical orientations: including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), internal family systems (IFS), solution-focused, psychodynamic, existential, Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

Hello! I’m glad you’re here. My name is Huy Truong, and I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with understanding and compassion. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in clinical mental health counseling from St. Cloud State University. Currently, I am a pre-licensed clinician because I am furthering my expertise by pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D.) in Counseling Psychology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota (expected graduation May, 2029).

I approach therapy from an existential-humanistic perspective, focusing on helping clients find meaning, navigate life’s challenges, and connect with their authentic selves through a collaborative and non-judgemental space.
