Work with Rivers Mental Health
Join the team
Rivers Mental Health is a Minnesota-based outpatient practice providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. We're growing our clinical team and looking for a therapist — licensed or pre-licensed — who wants a caseload that reflects their own clinical interests, real flexibility in how and where they work, and genuine support handling the administrative side of practice.
About the Role
Build a caseload around your own clinical specialty and population of interest, we're open to clinicians focused on children, adolescents, adults, couples, or a specific niche.
Flexible work setting: opportunities to see clients in-person, via telehealth, or a mix.
Set a schedule that works for you; we support full-time and part-time arrangements.
Compensation is fee-split based, so your earnings scale directly with your caseload.
Who We're Looking For
Fully licensed clinicians (LP, LPCC, LPC, LICSW, LMFT, or equivalent), OR
Pre-licensed/associate clinicians working toward licensure (LPCC/LPC track, etc.)
Strong clinical judgment, reliability, and a genuine interest in client care
Comfortable managing documentation and basic practice workflows (we'll support you here — see below)
Clinical Supervision
Our practice owner holds Minnesota BBHT Approved Supervisor status. For pre-licensed candidates, supervision arrangements will be discussed individually during the hiring process — some candidates may have an existing supervisor, others may be able to receive supervision through the practice if on the LPC/LPCC track.
What We Offer
Administrative support, including help with billing and insurance credentialing (CAQH, panel applications, etc.)
A flexible, autonomy-respecting schedule
A collaborative team culture — case consultation and peer support, not isolation
Choice of employment structure: W-2 employee or 1099 independent contractor, depending on what fits you best
